Nursing Direct are currently seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant to support a 5-year-old female client in her home in Great Bowden. This role involves providing overnight care (10pm – 6am) Monday to Thursday and Saturdays, ensuring the child’s comfort, safety, and well-being.
You will be working in a safe and supportive home environment, delivering person-centred care tailored to the client’s needs.
Candidates must be comfortable working in a home with a dog.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing suctioning as required.
- Managing PEG feeding and medication administration.
- Ensuring the child is comfortable and supported throughout the night.
- Monitoring and responding to any changes in the child's condition.
- Following infection control procedures and maintaining a high standard of hygiene.
Skills & Qualifications Required:
- Minimum 6 months UK healthcare experience in a similar role.
- PEG feeding and medication administration experience.
- Experience with suctioning.
- Valid DBS (within a year or on the update service).
- A caring, reliable, and professional approach to care.
- Must drive due to the location of the role.
