HEALTHCARE ASSISTANT

Nursing Direct are seeking a dedicated Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to provide homecare support for a child with complex needs in Colchester, Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced carers who are passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care in a home setting.

Shift pattern:

• Every Saturday and Sunday (08:00 - 20:00)

Role & responsibilities:

• Assisting with core healthcare duties
• Providing comfort, interaction, and companionship
• Deep suctioning, PEG feeding, and medication administration
• Supporting a child with epilepsy and administration of rescue medication

Essential requirements:

• Minimum 6 months UK healthcare experience
• Hardworking and adaptable, able to respond quickly to changes
• Passionate about providing high-quality care and working as part of a team
• DBS (within a year or on the update service)
• Medication administration experience

A driver with access to a care is preferred due to poor travel links.
