PAEDIATRIC NURSE

Nursing Direct is seeking dedicated and experienced Paediatric Nurses to support children and young people across the West Sussex area with a variety of complex needs.

We are committed to building a skilled team capable of delivering exceptional care for children with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders (ASD), and/or challenging behaviours. Care is provided in the individual’s home or in placement settings, tailored to their specific needs.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Registered Nurse qualification with a specialism in paediatrics (valid NMC PIN required).
• Experience in managing complex paediatric care and challenging behaviours – essential.
• PMVA (Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression) training – required.
• Training or experience in medication administration – preferred.
• Expertise in working with children with ASD and learning disabilities – preferred.
• Familiarity with Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) frameworks – preferred.
• Competence in supporting personal care, nutritional needs, and establishing positive daily routines for children.
